FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE playable characters: the eight story-party members
The eight permanent party characters
The story-party roster contains eight characters. This is the playable party list, separate from guests and equippable Visions. PowerPyx party guide RPG Site walkthrough IGN character pairings
| Character | How to identify the entry |
|---|---|
| Rain | Story-party character |
| Lasswell | Story-party character |
| Fina | Story-party character; keep this entry separate from Archwitch Fina |
| Lid | Story-party character |
| Nichol | Story-party character |
| Jake | Story-party character |
| Sakura | Story-party character |
| Archwitch Fina | Separate playable party entry from Fina |
Use all eight names when checking whether a roster is complete. A list ending at Sakura leaves out Archwitch Fina. When looking up a build, match the full character name rather than assuming that both Fina entries share one moveset. PowerPyx RPG Site
Four active slots does not mean only four characters
Battles use four selected party members. The complete eight-character roster therefore gives you choices for those slots, rather than placing all eight on the field together. GamesRadar+ Creative Bloq
Lightning and Sephiroth are Visions
Lightning belongs to the equippable Vision system. A Vision adds abilities and bonuses to a story-party character; counting it as another permanent party slot gives you the wrong cast total. PlayStation hands-on Nintendo Life review
Sephiroth is also obtainable as a Vision. His optional boss encounter and his equippable Vision role coexist; describing him as a boss does not rule out using his Vision afterward. PlayStation hands-on VGC unlock guide
Find the right Fina guide
For the second playable Fina entry, search for Archwitch Fina, the English name used in the party and walkthrough guides above. Check that name against the character entry before applying a build. This roster does not establish a separate Joshua party entry or equate every “Dark Fina” search result with the Archwitch Fina entry.
For the equipment system itself, read the Vision overview. The gameplay guide explains the battle slots, turn order and stagger.
