FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE release date: check your platform’s launch timing

The announced release date is October 22, 2026

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE’s release date is October 22, 2026. You can check that date on both the publisher’s announcement and Steam. To buy or start playing now, open the store for your platform and account region and check the purchase or download option. Square Enix announcement Steam listing

Release date and unlock time are different checks

Check the unlock time in your local store’s time zone. Square Enix directs you to your regional store because release times may vary by region. The October 22 announcement is not a date guarantee for every regional product. When comparing times, match the same platform, country, and time zone; do not assume that a date on a listing means a simultaneous worldwide unlock. Square Enix announcement

Your question	Answer or next check
What is the announced release date?	October 22, 2026; also shown in Creative Bloq’s independent review.
Why might a Japanese Steam page show October 23?	The Japanese e-STORE dates its Steam Standard/Digital Deluxe products October 23, while GAME Watch’s preview also separates Steam’s October 23 date from the October 22 console date. Match the exact store and product.
What is the exact unlock hour for my account?	Read your platform store’s local availability notice and the time zone next to any stated hour.
A guide shows a different date or time. What should I compare?	The platform, country, time zone, and whether the guide describes the demo, preorder period, or full release.
The announced date has passed but I cannot start the game.	Check the local listing and your account’s platform library; use that platform’s support if its current availability conflicts with your access.

Check local availability before making plans

Open the listing for the platform you intend to use, with your account set to the region where you will buy or play. Check whether the page shows a purchase, download, preorder, or availability notice, and read any time zone next to a stated hour. For PC, start with the Steam listing; for other storefronts, use the links from the official game site.

If you are comparing packages, the edition comparison explains the buying options. The platform guide covers access questions, while the demo guide separates trial play from the full release.
